Fluffy Cloud

I took this picture Saturday. The clouds were doing weird things Saturday so I got a really cool shot of the clouds. This photo actually doesn't do the cloud justice. I have noticed that my P and S camera does really well on close up photos and mid range photos, but it really suffers for long range. I have gotten some photography books from the library, and I have decided that the reason it doesn't do well with long range is because it is a wide angle lens. It would seem that with full zoom lens' and SLRs the more telephoto the lens is, the more narrow the view becomes. I don't know if this is correct, but this is my hypothesis.

Upsidaisy

I think this is a cute photo. I think it is interesting and I would hang this in my home. But I'm also a proud parent that likes to show off my kid. So, here it is.

Bubble Head

My kid in the bath. This is not child porn, I just think my daughter's cheesy grin is supper cute. Once in a while I can get her to smile, most of the time she just tries to grab the camera. The next 5 pictures in this sequence was me trying to fend her off.

Sunset

We were driving home from my parents house Memorial Day and I had to pull over to take a picture of the sunset. I just really like sunsets, but I really like how the sun was low enough behind the clouds that it basically hightlights the clouds.

Bubbles

I was giving my daughter a bath and really liked the way the bubbles looked. Not a strong photo, but I thought the bubbles looked cool.

Red Blossom

This is some sort of red blossom. I took this picture at the local zoo. We went as a family for Memorial Day.

Wood

Same fence as before, but different angel. I really like the wood texture.

Sunburst

I was driving past Jensen's Grove and thought the rays coming through looked neat. I took this picture in a moving car, impressed aren't you.

Fences

Cool wooden fence. I like the shadows from the criss-cross and again the contrasting colors.

Cart Cart Cart

A unique view of Walmart's shopping carts. Again unusual subject material but and interesting image none the less.

Borders

I really like old wooden fences. They just look cool. This picture interesting in that the fence seperates the two colors: i.e. the green and brown.

Bars

The handrails at my apartment complex. I like the angle of the photo and how on either side of the picture the rails run away from you.

Yellow weed

A picture of a weed with yellow blooms, and actually there is a bug on the plant too. It is kinda hard to see. I like the sharpness and focus on the plant with the background being more blurred.

Weed in sunset

As I'm sure you notice, I am extremely creative in the titles for my posts. This is a weed in sunset. This picture has good contrast between the light and the dark. It is well balanced both vertically and horizontally.

Texture

A random picture of my purse. I really like how the texture really shows.

Tank Full Frontal

I maybe didn't have enough light for this shot. It was getting a little dark. Still I think the dark of the tank fades nicely into the trees in the background and I think the trees make a nice segue into the lighter sky. The contrast make this picture.

Tank Front Left

I really think the tanks at Airport Park are neat. I took this one at about 7ish one night. Not too shabby for a 4.0 megapixel point and shoot. Again, this isn't something that I would probably hang in my house, but I really like the perspective and angle in this shot.

Reflection

I took this picture of a canal right across from the airport. i like the light temperature and how the tree seems to grow upside down (the reflection), amazing the kind of photos you can take just around your home town on the way home from work.

Purple Bloom

Just a purple bloom on a weed out in the field behind our apartment. It was at sunset, which makes a great backdrop. I had to get on my stomach for this shot.

Picnic Table

This is just an old picnic table at Airport Park. I chose to post this because I think the lighting, shadow, and color make for an interesting photo. While certainly not something most people would hang in their living room I think it is interesting.

Petunias

Just some pansies (it has come to my attention that these are in fact petunias, thanks Jess) outside my parents house. It was getting kinda dark so I had to use the flash.

Metered

Just the electric meters outside our apartment. Nothing special here.

Master Key

This is a picture of a set of keys from work hanging in the lock. I like the angle and how the focus is on a single key.

Keep Out

This is again keeping with the theme of pictures of the unusual. This picture is of a fence at the HUGE Blackfoot Airport. I really like the angle and the how it could seemingly go on for ever.

Grain

This is a picture of some grain. It is part of a crafty decoration at work. Why would someone decorate with grain? It is really pretty, but I wouldn't want it in my house. Plus, Aiden (my daughter) would probably eat it.

GO!

This is a picture of the cruise control buttons in a 1997 Plymouth Breeze. Why take pictures in a Plymouth Breeze? Maybe cause you have locked yourself out of your apartment and have nothing else to do while you wait for someone to get you. The picture turned out pretty good though. Ah, the sacrifices for good pictures.

Fuzzy

After my husband and I made the deal about I get a new camera if I (a) save the money (b) use our camera for 2 months straight, he went to Utah to help his folks move. So my daughter and I went to my parents house for the night. I took our camera instruction manual and read it. This photo was taken of one of the ties on the quilt on the bed. I was playing with the different camera options. This one just happened to be in black and white.

Flowering Bamboo

Here is another pic of my bamboo. The flowers are fake but the bamboo is real. I get pretty desperate for things to shoot sometimes and since I spent most of my time at work there are going to be repeats.

Sun and Leaves

This is a tree at our apartment complex. The sun was setting behind the leaves. I like to take pictures of the sun, close up pictures of plants, and ... really weird things.

Dusky Grass

This is a bunch of really tall grass behind our aparmtent complex. It was a beautiful sunset.

Desk Plant

For my birthday this year, my coworkers got me this bamboo plant. Lovely isn't it?

City Pipes

This is just a water pipe in Airport Park.

Bullet Proof

This is a picture of a hole my little brother put in a pane of glass in my parents shop with his bb gun.

Budding

A budding plant outside of my parents house.

Bubbies

I took this picture of my daughter.
